But every day you wake
You spend each moment fighting
To atone for life's mistake
You mend yourself to fit a mold
Down to flesh and bone
You fight against your destiny
Battling alone
You cannot stop the rain from falling
Nor the rays of sun
And winter comes without your help
When all is said and done
So why not wash yourself of fear
In springtime's falling rain
Dance in summer's heat
And cry in winter's pain
The fight you fight is only won
Within your own surrender
Releasing thoughts of changing self
And living as pretender
For we were made by perfect hands
With wholeness at our cores
Tainted only by forgetting
Love is what restores
We were not made broken
But completed by Her touch
Never made to fix ourselves
Or cling to thoughts of such
So if you are for peace
Wake up to the now
Trust that you are meant to be
And She will show you how
