Language

We often speak of truths
Created out of fear
In attempts to find a law
To which all things adhere

We speak of cause and reason
In language of control
To feign an understanding
Of our part against the whole

We speak of pragmatism
In words of common sense
To use our comprehension
As grounds for self-defense

We learn to speak false language
By means of intellect
Afraid of using native tongue
Through which our lives connect

We speak in separate truths
To make ourselves unique
But there is one expression
That we were made to speak

At times we fear the language
Ingrained in human heart
Afraid of using words of Love
And letting Truth impart

But when we speak in love
We speak in words of being
Beyond our understanding
From blindness into seeing

For we were made to speak
In Love's divine expression
Surrendering ourselves
To heaven's intercession
