In-betweens

We are often in transition

Caught in times of in-between

Of stirrings in ourselves

That are felt but yet unseen

We are held between the past

And the future, still unknown

With hearts that stay the same

Yet somehow, we have grown

We are here, but once were there

We are now, but once were then

We have hope for days to come

As morning breaks again

But now, we're in-between

The journey has not ended

We can see the road behind us

As we hang in time, suspended

We remain as lives undone

Completion not yet reached

Waiting in the chaos

For the fullness that He preached

Our task is just to be

In this time of in-between

With hearts of hope and love

For a future yet unseen
